Write to your friends and family using the stockinette stitch! You don't need needles and yarn, just your parents' permission to download a new font onto your computer.  You'll get all of the upper- and lowercase letters, numbers, and basic punctuation marks.   It's free and you can get it by following two simple steps:

1.  Ask your parents.  You shouldn't download anything onto your computer's hard-drive without checking with them that it's okay.
